Project Description:

World Fiber Technologies is the prime contractor to MDX for the Design Build of a System-wide Implementation of Dynamic Message Signs (DMS) This project will deploy color and amber dynamic message signs, and their ancillary components and devices along both mainline and arterial roadways for MDX to aid in the functionality of the proposed DMS messaging, CCTV’s will be installed for incident management in select locations. 12-count Single Mode (SM) fiber optic cable and corresponding conduit, pull boxes, locate wire, etc. will connect the newly installed cameras and DMS to the current fiber optic communication network. In addition to the fiber installed for ITS device connectivity, World Fiber will furnish and install 20,000 ft. of spare 96-count SM fiber optic cable to respond to any necessary emergency repairs to damages inflicted to the current fiber optic truck line.
