Project Description


As the prime contractor, World Fiber constructed the first two phases of ATMS deployment within the Bay County, Panama City region and FDOT District 3. This ITS project was the communications backbone for Bay County schools for network and video conferencing. It included installation of 50 miles of underground conduit and pull boxes for fiber optic cable, including splicing, termination and testing. 97 traffic signal cabinets were upgraded for Ethernet communication. Installation required plowing, boring and trenching. World Fiber also built a new TMC, including video wall, consoles, hardware, software, and integration.
